Methodology & Sources

Football Club Menu only publishes a dish, price, or policy when a public document names it. If we cannot point to a URL, the field is left blank.

What we cite

  • Official — team or venue pages and PDFs (for example the Packers 2026 F&B map, the Saints 2026 value-menu release, the Falcons Fan First announcement).
  • News — named outlets quoting those venues (for example Atlanta News First on June 9, 2026 listing ATL Fan Fare prices).
  • Encyclopedia — Wikipedia stadium articles for address and listed capacity, always paired with the official stadium site.
  • Compiled index — third-party tables that document their method. Covers’ July 30, 2025 basket uses 2023–24 public listings adjusted for 2025; we store the unit price as their two-item total divided by two, and we label the year 2025. FinanceBuzz documents 2025 beer prices compiled from team sites, articles, and menu-board videos after Team Marketing Report stopped publishing an annual Fan Cost Index. We also use The Beer Thrillers’ August 15, 2025 16 oz beer index (range $6.80–$16.49) and the Action Network fan-cost index for hot dogs, both labelled with the index name wherever the figure appears.
  • Venue guides — standing stadium directories such as Stadium Journey and VisitYourTeam. We use them for stand names, signature items and published single-item prices, and we label the year of the snapshot.

What we do not do

  • We do not invent club-lounge tasting menus or fan quotes.
  • We do not fill burger / nachos / soda columns without a cited figure.
  • We do not present a compiled index as an official 2026 menu.
  • We do not label a dietary option Yes or No without a source that states it — an unverified field reads “Not verified” and points at the venue’s own gameday page.

How price comparisons are built

  • One league at a time. NFL and MLS figures are never averaged together; every league average shows the number of venues behind it and the season range they span.
  • Like against like. Only directly comparable single-item prices enter a ranking: combo meals, basket totals divided by two, fan-cost indexes and compiled league tables stay on the venue page with their label and are excluded from averages.
  • Beer is grouped by pour size. A 12 oz value-menu pour and a 16 oz craft draft are different products, so beer averages are computed within one stated size at a time. Rows whose source states no size are listed but never ranked.
  • Scope travels with the price. Value menus, select-location pricing and prior-season figures are labelled as such wherever the figure appears — in a page title, a snapshot or a ranking row.
  • Recomputable. Venue pages and index pages run the same inclusion rules over the same records, so any diff on a venue page can be rebuilt from the index rows.

The machine-readable price ledger (JSON) lists every comparison figure with its venue, league, item, price, pour size, scope, season, source URL, source publish date and our review date.
